CHAY RIVER – DARK CAVE AND BOTANICAL GARDEN

Program

At 8:00 – 8:30, our tour guide will pick you up in Dong Hoi city (train station, airport, hotels) or in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang area to explore Phong Nha Botanical Garden and Chay River – Dark Cave.

Upon arriving in Phong Nha, we will visit Phong Nha Botanical Garden. Here, we will immerse ourselves in the wild nature and have the opportunity to learn about the rich and rare ecosystem of flora and fauna in the primitive forest, including species listed in the Red Book. We will explore the beauty of Phong Nha’s mountains and forests, while gaining insights into the conservation efforts of the garden staff.

You can choose one of the following two visiting routes:

Route 1: Exhibition House ⇒ Animal Rehabilitation Area ⇒ Vang Anh Stream ⇒ Peacock Watching Area ⇒ Rare Tree Forest ⇒ Gio Waterfall.

On this route, you can participate in the following main activities: Viewing displayed specimens; observing wildlife; seeing 1 out of 10 beautiful and rare bird species; learning about the insect world in the forest; exploring aquatic species; admiring orchid flowers; bathing in Vang Anh Stream; learning about the plant world; and admiring the beauty of Gio Waterfall.

Route 2: Exhibition House ⇒ Animal Rehabilitation Area ⇒ Peacock Watching Area ⇒ Rare Tree Forest ⇒ Natural Trail ⇒ Gio Waterfall. The main activities you can participate in are: Viewing exhibitions; observing primates and some fruit-eating birds; seeing 1 out of 10 beautiful bird species; viewing rare ancient trees over 100 years old; admiring Gio Waterfall (Wind Waterfall).

We will have lunch at a local restaurant with typical village dishes.

After lunch, we will kayak along Chay River to experience its peaceful and romantic flow amidst emerald green waters and majestic limestone mountains; cornfields stretch along both sides of the river creating a beautiful landscape, allowing us moments of comfortable relaxation.

Additionally, we will engage in various activities such as swimming and experiencing the thrill of ziplining to bathe in Chay River and zipline to Dark Cave. Inside this cave, we will have the opportunity to bathe in natural mud and swim in a cool lake.

At 5:00 – 5:30 PM, we will bid farewell to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and board the bus to return to the hotel or meeting point.

Booking: You can book up to 24 hours before the excursion if there are available spots.

– To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least 12 hours before the excursion starts.

– If you cancel the excursion less than 12 hours before it starts, no refund will be provided.

– No changes will be accepted less than 12 hours before the excursion starts (deadline based on local time).

– In case of cancellation due to bad weather conditions, another date will be offered or a full refund will be provided.
