MORNING – DEPARTURE & EXPLORING PARADISE CAVE

07:00 – 08:00 | Pick-up in Dong Hoi / Phong Nha

Our Amigos Phong Nha vehicle and guide will pick you up at designated locations in Dong Hoi, including the train station, airport, hotels, and other convenient meeting points.

Once everyone is ready, the group sets off towards Phong Nha – Ke Bang, preparing for a full day of adventure and exploration.

09:00 | Entering the Core Zone of Phong Nha – Ke Bang

From Dong Hoi, the group travels more than 70 km along the Ho Chi Minh Highway, passing through lush green landscapes before reaching the core zone of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

Today's destination is Paradise Cave – one of Vietnam's most spectacular and impressive dry caves.

At the meeting point, our professional Amigos Phong Nha adventure guide will provide a detailed briefing on the itinerary, safety regulations, and essential skills before the expedition begins.

10:30 | Entering the Magical World of Paradise Cave

From the parking area, an electric shuttle takes the group to the foot of the mountain. From here, you begin the climb along a wooden staircase leading to the cave entrance.

As soon as you step inside, an entirely different world unfolds before your eyes.

A carefully designed lighting system highlights the natural beauty of stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over millions of years. Each formation has its own unique shape, evoking fascinating images such as:

The Gathering of the Immortals – The Qilin – The Lotus Tower – Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva – The Mammoth – The Central Highlands Longhouse...

After approximately 1 km along the wooden walkway, the real adventure begins as the group continues deeper into Paradise Cave.

CONQUERING 7 KM – A JOURNEY INTO THE EARTH

The Next 500m – Spectacular Underground Landscapes

The deeper you go, the more vast and untouched the cave becomes.

In some sections, the cave ceiling rises more than 80 meters high, while the passage can reach 120 meters in width, creating an overwhelming sense of scale and natural grandeur.

Stalactites and stalagmites of countless shapes and sizes stretch into the distance. Under natural light and the beams of headlamps, mineral crystals sparkle like diamonds hidden deep beneath the earth.

As the journey continues deeper, the cave becomes increasingly quiet and mysterious. It is also home to a variety of cave-dwelling creatures, including bats, fish, spiders, and other species.

During the first 3.5 km, visitors may encounter hundreds of bats clinging to the cave ceiling – a fascinating and unforgettable experience, especially for first-time cave explorers.

Where Underground Streams Meet

After trekking for approximately 200 meters, the group reaches a point where two dry streambeds meet.

The air here is cool, fresh, and almost completely isolated from the outside world. It is an ideal natural resting spot where you can relax, experience the untouched atmosphere of the cave, and capture memorable photographs.

Kilometer 4 – A Rest Stop Deep Inside the Cave

At approximately 4 km, the group stops for a well-deserved break.

Surrounded by the vastness of the cave, fascinating rock formations, flowing water, and dramatic lighting create a truly remarkable setting – where almost every corner offers an impressive photo opportunity.

Take some time to rest, take photos, and recharge before continuing the adventure.

STREAM CROSSING – TAKING ON THE CHALLENGE

After the break, the journey continues with one of the most exciting experiences of the entire trip.

The group will cross approximately 100 meters above the stream, navigating sections of the cave where the terrain constantly changes.

In some areas, the cave ceiling is so low that you may need to crouch down or even lie flat in the boat to pass through.

This is where your adventurous spirit and teamwork truly come into play.

After crossing the stream, the next challenge is a series of rugged earthen slopes, narrow passages, and winding trails. Some sections are barely wide enough for one person to pass through.

On either side, towering cylindrical rock formations rise from the cave floor, creating the impression of a vast natural stone maze.

HEAVEN WELL – THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE JOURNEY

After more than one hour of trekking, the group reaches one of the most spectacular areas of the expedition – Heaven Well.

This is a remarkable place where nature brings together light, water, rock, and the vast underground landscape to create a truly unique setting.

Large rocks with fascinating shapes lie amid the stream, sculpted naturally over millions of years. Every angle reveals a different perspective, making you feel as though you have entered an entirely separate world hidden beneath the earth.

This is also the perfect time to rest, enjoy lunch beside the stream, and capture unforgettable moments surrounded by pristine nature.

AFTERNOON – COMPLETING THE EXPLORATION

After lunch and a well-deserved rest, the group begins the journey back towards the cave entrance.

From the cave entrance, an electric shuttle takes you back to the visitor area. Take some time to rest, change clothes, and prepare for the journey back to Dong Hoi.

16:30 – 17:00 | Return to Dong Hoi / Phong Nha

Our Amigos Phong Nha vehicle and guide will drop you off at your designated location in Dong Hoi / Phong Nha, including your hotel, train station, airport, or other agreed meeting points.

WHAT TO BRING

To make your adventure as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, we recommend bringing:

• Specialized footwear suitable for walking through water.
• Swimwear.

• One clean set of clothes to change into after the tour.
• A waterproof camera or waterproof bag for electronic devices.

Note: We recommend wearing lightweight, quick-drying clothing that is comfortable for trekking and stream crossings.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• The actual itinerary may be adjusted or the order of activities may be changed depending on weather conditions, terrain, and the specific requirements of the group.
• The Paradise Cave 7,000m Tour is a fully packaged tour with no additional charges beyond the fees stated in advance.
• This is an adventure expedition involving trekking, stream crossings, and steep or uneven sections. Participants should therefore be in good physical condition and ready for an active outdoor experience.

CHILDREN'S POLICY

This is an adventure trekking and cave exploration program, so children are generally not recommended to participate.

• Participants must be at least 16 years old or taller than 1.3 meters and be in good physical condition.
• Children taller than 1.3 meters who wish to join the tour must be accompanied by an adult and have a parental/guardian waiver signed.
• Children participating in the tour are charged at the same rate as adults.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

When Booking the Tour

Guests are required to:

• Pay a 50% deposit at least 30 days before the tour date.
• Provide a copy of their passport, ID card, or birth certificate as required for registration.

Payment

The remaining balance must be paid according to the terms and payment schedule agreed upon in the contract.

CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULING POLICY

Cancellation periods are calculated based on working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and Tet holidays.

• Cancellation or transfer to another tour more than 30 days before departure: No fee.
• Cancellation or tour transfer 21–29 days before departure: A cancellation/transfer fee of 50% of the deposit applies.
• Cancellation or tour transfer 13–20 days before departure: A cancellation/transfer fee of 100% of the deposit or 50% of the total tour price applies.

HEALTH & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Due to the nature of this program, which involves trekking and cave exploration, guests should carefully consider their physical condition before booking.

• Guests aged 70 to under 75: must sign a health declaration with the company.
• Guests aged 75 and above: must provide a doctor's certificate confirming that they are fit to participate, sign a health declaration with the company, and be accompanied by a relative under 60 years old who is in good physical condition.
• Guests aged 80 and above are not accepted.
• Pregnant guests must inform our travel consultant at the time of booking so that appropriate guidance can be provided.
• Guests who are five months pregnant or more are not accepted for safety reasons throughout the journey.
